01 Sep For the Love of all things Houses…
I love houses.. I can appreciate every type of architecture that is out there. I love that someone had a plan, sketched it out on paper and then made it into a home that a family can raise their children in, celebrate a job promotion in or even find out they are expecting a child in. The memories that you create in a house are boundless.
So, I am really excited that the Glendale Historical Society is having a “Romantic Revivals” home tour on September 28, 2014. This year’s lineup will feature six revival homes that were built between 1926 and 1940. One of the homes is a 1929 Storybook that was once home to heavyweight boxing champion Jess Willard. These homes are usually quite expansive and have unique and charming touches and I’m excited to see them all.
The tour is self- driven so you can take your time and tickets can be bought online at www.glendalehistorical.org or www.glendalearts.org or in person at the Americana at Brand Concierge Desk.
